Battery Recycling Challenge - Schools Competition

Schools Competition

The WEEE Ireland Schools Battery Recycling Competition is back for 2025-2026!

The WEEE Ireland Schools Battery Recycling Competition is back for the 2025-2026 school year, giving 6 more schools a chance to win a €2000 sports equipment voucher for the most batteries collected!

There are so many positives to recycling waste batteries – protecting our environment, contribute to your school’s Sustainable Development Goals and Green Schools work, as well as supporting LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.

The competition is open to all primary and secondary schools in WEEE Ireland Battery Recycling counties, that collect at least 10 full 5kg Battery Boxes between September 2025 to April 2026.

Every battery counts, so get collecting this new school year and your school could be one of our 2025-2026 Competition Winners!  How many boxes can your school fill?
