Cancellation Notice – WEEE Public Collection Event – NUI Galway Thurs 2nd April

March 12, 2020

In the interest of public health and safety and in light of updated advice from the government today on measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus, WEEE Ireland has taken the decision to postpone until further notice the free public collection day scheduled to take place at NUI Galway on Thursday 2nd April.

WEEE Ireland has been closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation and heeding all advice from the National Public Health Emergency Team, the HSE and the WHO.  The health and safety of the Irish public and the WEEE Ireland and university staff and students who support the free collection days is of utmost priority to WEEE Ireland.  As a result, this decision has been taken as a precaution to help to support the national effort and limit the spread of Covid-19.

As the situation is evolving rapidly, WEEE Ireland will continue to monitor developments on a daily basis and issue further updates as necessary.
