B2B Producers - Business to Business

Producers of non-household EEE can self-comply with the Regulations as detailed in the EPA guidance note. WEEE Ireland focuses on B2C compliance and does not currently offer compliance for B2B Producers of EEE.

Specifically Producers must:

1. Register with the Registration Body.
2. Finance the take back of WEEE from private households.
3. Finance the take back of WEEE from users other than private households unless otherwise agreed with the end user.
4. Collect or provide for collection of his/her proportion of WEEE arising from WEEE placed onto the market prior to 13th August 2005, depending on his/her current market share.
5. Collect or provide for collection of all WEEE arising from private households from EEE placed onto the market post 13th August 2005.
6. Finance the environmentally sound management of WEEE .
7. Attain specified recovery rates depending upon the category and type of the WEEE arising.
8. Maintain and keep records of all treatment and recovery data, including specific weights in and out of treatment facilities, for a period of at least six years.
9. Prepare a WEEE waste management plan and provide it to the relevant authority, at least once every three years. This report should detail the steps taken by the producer to comply with the regulations and must be made available free of charge to any person requesting it within ten working days.
