WEEE Ireland Sponsors the Pakman Awards 2016

WEEE Ireland is pleased to announce our involvement once again in the national awards programme, the Pakman Awards 2016, which recognises and supports excellence in Waste Management and Recycling.

Entries have now being invited from organisations, business community groups and individuals who have shown excellence in their application of waste management, recycling, waste prevention and environmental initiatives.

 

Martin Tobin, CEO, ERP Ireland said, “The Pakman Awards is a fantastic forum to recognise the recycling excellence efforts of our members and stakeholders in the recycling industry. I am delighted that we have two new categories this year for WEEE and Battery Recycling Champions and am calling on all our members to participate. I wish all entrants the best of luck.”

Leo Donovan, CEO of WEEE Ireland will be on the judging panel and will have the difficult task in selecting the winners from the 14 categories below:

  • Community Recycling Project of the year
  • Environmental Education and Awareness Initiative
  • Pakman Award – Overall Winner

The Awards ceremony will take place on 27th October 2016, in The Intercontinental Hotel in Ballsbridge, Dublin.

The programme is powered by Repak, in partnership with the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government and other leading organisations involved in recycling and waste management industry.
